In cases in which the school is off base in the way it treats a particular student, and just before things get out of hand, we get involved and provide solutions. Allow us to introduce ourselves: we are Shomrei Hasaf [the gatekeepers]—we mediate between families (parents and students) and the school and strive to create a channel the parties can use for discussion and agreement and for getting things back on track.
