“Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22 verse 6
This verse tells us that all children have their own path to follow, understand things in their own way and that each and every child is singular and special. Every child is unique. The child is at the heart of what we do, and we are duty-bound to help him or her find the best path.
Our children are the future of the new world and we are charged with showing them the way, helping them through obstacles, and protecting them wherever possible. We have to make sure that they know how to fulfill their duties as well as stand up for their rights. We have helped many parents and students resolve conflicts with the education system – and would like to do the same for you.
We are Shomrei Hasaf. Allow us to introduce ourselves:

Dr. Sigalit Chacham
Mother of four: Chen, Shira, Tamir, and Amit. I spent my military service at Beit Hinuch Sha’ar Hanegev as an academic teacher, teaching junior high and high school and preparing students for the 5-credit point Arabic matriculation exam. In addition, I also taught students at the Achva College, organized continuing education seminars, and taught Arabic teachers.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Arabic at Bar-Ilan University, studied education administration and supervision, and earned my teaching diploma. I completed my master’s degree and earned my Ph.D. at Bar Ilan, as part of a project supported by the Israel Science Foundation. Currently, I speak at conferences and participate in research groups. I am also writing a monograph in English, which will be published by a scientific publication abroad.
Other than in pedagogy, I have many years of experience in parent leadership councils and mediation between teaching staff and parents.

Musik Even Chen
married with three sons. I earned my bachelor's degree in Business Administration and serve as a CEO and project manager in a security company. For the past twelve years, I have served in a leading role in the municipal parent leadership council, as well as in the parent leadership councils of the primary, junior high, and high schools.
I have led educational projects in our hometown, such as promoting the need for a projector and computer in every classroom; a book lending project (before the book lending project initiated by the Ministry of Education was launched) and confidentially seeing to it that children from financially underprivileged backgrounds did not, for a moment, feel any different from the rest of the children in the class. But mostly, I have participated in dozens of mediation sessions between families and teaching staff while focusing the parties on the best interests of the child. Challenging children, children who have been ostracized and shamed, children who got less than they deserved from the education system, and children experiencing various other problems, all of which I managed to resolve to the satisfaction of all the parties involved, and most importantly – in the best interest of the child.
I spent my military service as a company commander in the Armored Corps. I serve in the reserves in the Home Front Command as a district Chief of Staff and my mission in the army also contributes to high school students in various projects I have promoted, which lead up to the first summons [Tzav Rishon] and drafting the children to serve in the army. I have counseled more than a few teenagers to help them find the role best suited for them in the military.
